The Foundation of Mary

Growing up in the Minneapolis Suburb of St. Louis Park, with three bothers and two sisters, I have many fond childhood memories of summers spent at my grandparents cabin on Bay Lake. My parents moved to Crosslake in 1980 and it seems like I was always heading Up North to spend time with family and friends.

After completing my formal education in Interior Design and Marketing I moved out West, to Hood River, OR where I opened a Clothing Store called "B.Jammin' Ski Beach and Funwear". Three years later I opened another location in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. I migrated seasonally to homes in both resort towns until selling the stores, after 10 years of successful business, to take part in an adventure that few people will ever experience.

I traveled on a 42' Sailboat with a crew of two and a dog named Halli for the next 3 years. The sailing adventure began on the Columbia River Gorge, north to the San Jaun Islands of B.C. to Alaska and back again. Winters were spent in Baja California. These adventures gave me the foundation and determination to know that I can do whatever I put my mind to. It was time to get back to work.

My reputation as a successful small business owner, allowed a clear path into consulting which took me from Seattle to Boston. While in Boston, I was convinced to join a prestigious Real Estate Firm as a Realtor, marketing Upscale Brick Stones in the Back Bay, Beacon Hill and South End areas. This opportunity accumulated all my training and experience, cementing my love of Real Estate and launching my new career.

Then in 2005, family health issue brought me back to the Brainerd Lakes Area. I met and married the love of my life. I am now a full time Real Estate Agent for Edina Realty of Crosslake, specializing in Lake Homes and Lake Lots on the White Fish Chain, Pelican Lake, Gull Lake and all the Lakes in the Brainerd Area. All Realtors are required to obtain 30 hours of continuing education every 2 years. In today's market I believe that I need to be a better educated professional, so I have sought out a minimum of 75 hours annually and with that education I have received designations as a Short Sale and Foreclosure Specialist in 2010 and GRI - Graduate, Realtor, Institute in 2011 that which only 20% of Realtors ever get. Giving back to the community, I volunteer as the Chairperson for the Edina Realty Foundation of Crosslake. Edina Foundation raises money for the homeless and has presenting donations to The Crosslake Food Shelf, Habitat for Humanity and Mid-Minnesota Women's Shelter.
